You want comments on your blog? Well go on tell me and I'll leave some! I don't really know what hit me but I'm just so fond of leaving comments to goody nice blogs out there. Really, it's a lot of fun. I kept reading and learning and just stumbling to something good once in a while (or most of the times).
I really think it's important for us bloggers to Spread the Comment Love
You know, everyone wants comments in their blogs (lots and lots of comments if possible) but sometimes, we do tend to get too selfish and stop the flow of good comments in the blogosphere. Most bloggers just want people to comment on them but forget commenting on others themselves. And that's really sad right?
Commenting is Important
- It's a form of constructive criticism. Even if you're not going for the positive comment, at least you do a little help to make bloggers in the blogophere a bunch of better people (Better Blogging for Bloggers!). Besides, you can't learn if you don't let other people look over your work. Commenting is the basic form of criticizing.
- It's a way of connecting to other bloggers. All this time that I've been a blogger, I realized how important it really is to build that connection among other bloggers. No man is an island. Much more no blogger is an island too. We need somebody to lean on once in a while and nothing would be better than a bunch of nice cozy blogger friends from an array of niches. From the simplest link building to blog partnerships, you'll never know what doors commenting can open.
- It's a form of friendly advertising. Ever get tired of those oafs doing all sorts of blatant shameless promotion? I know, once in while we get the tendency to do so too. But with commenting, blog advertising just comes with it in a much more subtle and proper manner. When you comment, it's not just you that's being recognized as the commentator, it's you and your blog too. As long as you leave your blog url of course. Make sure you do.
- It's a form of learning while having fun. What I do love most about commenting is getting to browse though all sorts of blogs in all sorts of niches. I get to learn many things just in an hour of reading and commenting and it gives me extra credit for the time I've spent. I just didn't use it for myself, I used it too in benefit of other blogs and bloggers like me. Now that's comment love don't you think?
I'd like to encourage each and everyone of you. It wouldn't do anything bad at all (unless you end up spamming which I know (or hope) that you won't. Try it really. Just leave a comment mark on my blog and I'd sure love to reciprocate and do the same thing :)
Always remember, you can't do anything wrong with spreading the comment love once in a while.
