Shocking, I was just checking my new emails when I received this from Jitendra Gupta, apparently the founder of the famous SezWho - a commenting system that has reigned supreme (or so I thought) for years in the bloggosphere. Here's the Email
Hello,
SezWho has been unable to continue our service and we need to shut down the site. Fortunately, our friends at JS-Kit are helping to keep the service up until March 31, 2009.
We strongly encourage you to Upgrade to JS-Kit Commenting Now!
We selected JS-Kit because they are the world's largest distributed social network, connecting over 600,000 publishers with light weight, cross domain services, including Comments, Ratings, and Polls.
Sincerely,
Jitendra Gupta
Founder, SezWho
What?!? I never thought this would happen really! I signed up for SezWho months ago (though I still did not use it's system) for comment profile purposes. But even at that time, I knew SezWho was going strong especially with it's partnership with Entrecard. Product of recession perhaps? But how come?
For the hundreds of thousands of SezWho fans and users, this is indeed very very bad news. Good thing JS-Kit went to save the whole system. Guess it was lucky that I stuck up with Intense Debate commenting system even though it's less popular than the key players. Yes. Sigh. I still loved commenting using SezWho though.
What happened to those people at SezWho??? Terrible news.
