To Use or Not to Use, Find Out if Adsense is Good for Your Blog

If other bloggers or webmasters say that you shouldn’t use Google Adsense to monetize your blog because it really doesn’t work, or make any money, or is just a great pain in the neck. Here’s what I tell you, don’t ever listen to them. Whether or not you should display adsense ads in your blog doesn’t depend in their opinion, it depends of course to you and most of all, to your blog.

I’ll get this done as soon but as comprehensive as possible because I know that what you’re waiting for right now is the answer itself, a yes or a no. Now, here’s the following things you should review and consider first before deciding if you want to continue your publisher status on Google Adsense.

There are just three main factors that you’d have to consider

1 Your blogging niche
2 Your main readers
3 Your preferred way of blog monetizing

Blogging niche.

If you blog about anything related to business (buy and sell, companies etc.), making money online (forex, trading, ebay, get paid to stuffs etc), shopping (all products especially clothes etc.), technology (gizmos, gaming, programming etc.) advertising (design, multimedia etc.) and health (diet, food, medicine etc.) or blogging itself (tutorials, diy, tips, resources etc.) then it’s always a good idea to display adsense ads.

This is because these topics are heavily advertised, meaning there’s a lot of demand and popularity plus the audience is large so you’ll have more chances of getting clicks. I may have missed some niches but they key is, if money is an important aspect to your niche (like business) and if the target audience is large, then you’ll have a good shot at success with adsense.

Main readers.

This is related to your blogging niche too. These are divided into two kinds, the tech-savvy and of course, the non tech-savvy. Btw, I always remember Johnny Depp with this line ‘Savvy?’ lol. I love captain Jack Sparrow! Never fails to crack me up.

Anyway, (haha. I got distracted, sorry), tech-savvy people basically know whether an ad is an ad, therefore, they will most likely turn blind to them meaning they won’t usually click on it. Obviously, non tech-savvy readers are the opposite. They don’t know what’s an ad. They will most likely click on it as long as the link interests them.

That’s why if you’re blogging about programming (for example), your adsense ads might not receive any clicks since most of the readers (who we presume are mostly programmers) know what it is and will not click on it unless they really really really want to. You get the point.

But if you have huge traffic and high SERPs rankings, it wouldn’t really make much of a problem. Make money online blogs (whose main readers are aware of adsense) still earn pretty high checks from Google. Basically, huge traffic equals huge chances of getting ad clicks.

Your preferred way of monetizing your blog.

Okay, let’s say you passed the first two, that your blogging niche is of high demand and your readers are usually non tech-savvy, here’s the last criterion. What actually is your main monetizing strategy? Take your pic, advertisements, review, referrals or affiliate? Three are safe answers. Only if you answer reviewing will get you into some trouble.

Some pay to review networks are not in good terms with adsense. PayPerPost is a good example. It doesn’t accept blogs who displays google adsense ads. Well really, if this is your pick, you’re frankly in the wrong direction. Sponsored reviews usually gets you into page rank trouble. Google doesn’t really like paid seo so beware k? Although I occasionally review stuffs, my priority is still the ads since it’s much safer and easier to monetize.

As for other ways of monetizing, most advertising companies (from reviews to affiliate) are compatible with Google Adsense so there’s really nothing much of a problem. Who in there right mind anyway would defy Google? Oh yeah, PayPerPost to name the very very very few.
