There is power in writing things down, not just for blogging but for everything else. We are all aware of the wide range and spectrum of blogging tools available in the market, but the most useful tool I can think of goes back to the two most essential things in writing – pen and paper.
Writing gives you a hard copy of your plan. Storing ideas on the head seldom works. The average brain memory can only store a few things at once, and in the long run, there’s no guarantee that our brain may be able to recall anything perfectly. Remember the times when you said to yourself, ‘I’m going to do this’ but by the next day forget everything completely?
Have you heard the story of some successful businesspersons who sleeps with a pen and paper ready at their sidetable? They say that sometimes get their big ideas during the course of their sleep. It’s the time when the mind is most active and is recapping the happenings for the day. So chances are the flow of ideas are strong at these times.
Take the people at Googleplex for example
If you still haven’t read the Google Fun Facts, you should know that the Google base is called the Googleplex. It is said that everywhere in Googleplex, there is a ready whiteboard hoisted on the wall with a pen. You can just imagine living in a workplace with walls all covered with whiteboards. This is because Google believes that ‘ideas doesn’t always form on the workplace’. You can see they are right about that.
The power of storing things with pen and paper
What I like most is that it let’s you actually focus. Going to a quiet place without any distractions with a pen and paper in hand lets you concentrate on ideas, plans and notes that you want to save for yourself.
On Keeping a blog journal
It is a hundred percent effective in my own experiment and I strongly recommend it to you too. When I started my blogging journal, I wrote down the things I want to do with my blog and my goals for a certain period of time. I also expanded with writing down the actual ways of how I am going to achieve my goals.
Through this, I was able to note my progress and keep my tasks well-organized. It works great for reminders too.
My last trick is to have your blog journal always at a hand’s reach, especially if your agenda is blogging. Stumbling across thousands of contents everyday makes it hard to fully absorb all the information, thus information overload.
By writing the main idea down, you will be able to preserve what you have read into your knowledge. Goes well too for times that you’re running out of ideas for the next post.
The Best Blogging Tools are Definitely Pen and Paper
It empowers your ideas and your goals. Ideas are the key to improvement and goals are the key to success. I bet there’s not any other blogging tool out there that can possibly do that.
Do this simple advice: just write it down. It works wonders.
