My 2nd Home Greenhub is The Place Where You Can Save Three Things, Nature, Money and your Health

No pun intended – my passion for the environment has deep roots. If I could be both a blogger and an active advocate of nature and green living (as what I am back in high school), it would definitely give me an immense satisfaction towards myself. The problem was, my blogging niche had little, or more so nothing, to do with it. And as if, I could build another blog since this one’s already taking up too much. That’s why the day May 12, 2009 (05/12/09) really made a mark. That was the day that opportunity I was only thinking of presented itself to me. It was in the form of a website called Greenhub.

What is GreenHub?

Greenhub is first and foremost, an advocacy site that aims to “help the environment by helping you make a green home”. It’s main thrust is to provide quality information to the community in order to attain a cleaner environment while saving money and valuable resources at the same time – that makes nature and man go into a win-win situation.

Sustainable Energy for Home and Human Use

From solar energy to electric car conversion to the more aesthetic (yet still environmental-friendly) green roof and green walls, www.GreenHub.WS proves true to it’s mantra. The whole site revolves around this topic together with a section solely dedicated to opinions and the latest environmental news and concerns that are happening around the globe and especially in the US regions.

The Birth of GreenHub.WS

All it took was one email sent to me by Jeaspher, the webmaster of www.GreenHub.WS, about a ‘partnership’ (as we call it) to create such a website. For me, there’s no need to be hesitant, this was an opportunity I am ready to jump into. Greenhub originally started on the drawing board as a half blog half website, applying my expertise as a blogger and Jeaspher’s as the webmaster. But with the struggle in both sides schedule and the realization that greenhub need not to be a blog since it can still maintain it’s advocacy with it’s timeless contents.

The Real Person Behind Greenhub

I guess one of the main reasons why Jeaspher, the webmaster of www.GreenHub.WS, decided to contact me is because of the ties we both share as a Filipino. A business woman and mother of a 3-year old kid currently residing the the US, Jeaspher’s determination and enthusiasm in pushing through an environmental website (an advocacy of her) is something that I really admire even though she’s already juggling with her 24 hours as a working mom.

Now Almost One Month Old

When Greenhub started, I had to be quite frank that there is still more work to be done into ‘babysitting’ the new website. The site theme too proved to be another time-consuming yet important agenda. From the plain site of that first week to the now new theme, GreenHub had readily evolved into something that will sure be a strong environmental website in many months and even years to come.

Now, the Greenhub saga had begun

There’s more work to do and there’s more plans to look forward too. But with a good cause and a strong advocacy, I am sure that GreenHub can make it into greater heights. Jeaspher and I will make sure of that.
